Overview

Tulipans Launcher is my own product: a launcher for Minecraft Java Edition that does everything a modded player needs without the weight most launchers carry. The site's tagline says it best: Minecraft, without the wait.

It's free, it runs on Windows, and it's available in Spanish and English. The current release is v0.5.0, a 69.5 MB download.

The problem

Playing modded Minecraft usually means juggling several tools: one launcher for the game, a website for modpacks, a separate app for servers, a forum thread to decode a crash log, and a router setting to let friends in. Many launchers are also web apps in disguise, shipping a whole browser just to draw a list of profiles.

I wanted one app that opens immediately, stays out of the way while you play, and covers the full loop from finding a modpack to playing it with friends.

What I built

The launcher is written in Rust with a native interface and no embedded browser. That choice is the reason it opens instantly and uses very few resources, which matters most on the mid-range machines a lot of players actually have.

Each profile is isolated, so modpacks never step on each other. Modrinth and CurseForge packs install in one click, shaders and resource packs are managed per profile, and memory is allocated automatically instead of asking players to guess JVM flags.

The friends system lets people join each other's worlds without port forwarding. There's also local server hosting, a mod config editor, a skin editor, crash diagnostics that explain what went wrong, cloud backups with restore points, and importing profiles from other launchers so switching costs nothing.

Design

The interface is dark and quiet so the game art does the talking: a sidebar for the library, friends and servers, and a home screen that puts "keep playing" first. The pink tulip logo is the one loud element, and it carries over to the website.

Beyond the app

mc.tulipans.uy is a full product site rather than a download page. It has accounts, a modpack browser, a server list, a changelog and the download itself, all designed and built alongside the launcher.
